Perfect for my 3 year old grandson. Not too easy, but not so hard to find the penguins that he becomes frustrated. He also likes that the penguins have names and personalities and that there's a story line to follow.

My son is so happy with this book, we start with where is curious george, wich he still love, but now that he is 4 we needed something more dificult but apropiate for a kid. Perfect! 👌🏻

This book is so cute and fun! My 4 year old loves it. She likes Where’s Waldo but is not quite ready to be able to find all the guys and highlights hidden pictures are too easy for her. This is a great middle difficulty find it book.

It's adorable. My five-year-old grandson and I love it. It's a good step before where's Waldo

I bought this book for my 5 year old nephew and he loves it! There are 10 characters to find on each page and he has memorized all the character's names. It keeps him entertained for a while because there are so many characters to find and he gets so excited each time he finds one of them :) The illustrations are beautiful and it's so fun to notice all the intricacies incorporated.

My child loves this book! He is 4 and can't get enough of search and finds. Great to keep him occupied without using screen time.

One of the better "find it in the picture" books. Great for kids.

Children's books are a special category because they're read numerous times (sometimes hundreds of times!) and they don't contain many words. This is why the words that are there should be carefully chosen.The author calls the little horse a foul, and the little cow a calf. But then the little deer is a little deer, not a fawn. Pick if we're going to be precise or not, I'm really ok with a little horse and a little cow; I'm NOT ok with the jumping from fouls to little deers.Then, some of the rhymes are lazy and make no sense at all:time to sleep, little calf, little calfwhat happened today that made you laugh?Most of the other animals say something that makes sense after they tell their little ones to go to sleep: stars are out, everyone is sleeping, i'll give you the last kiss etc. But the cow says, go to sleep, and then wants to talk about what made the little calf laugh? (Try this with a toddler - the audience for the book, and see how well it goes...)Last thing: the child on the second to last page looks sick and sad. I'm sure the illustrator did not mean that to happen? Generally, the pictures are a little more to (some) adults' taste than to a toddler's taste.Great children's books are really few and far between. I'm thankful for Mo Willems, Llama Llama books, and several others.

We first heard this story at our library story hour and I promptly purchased for our nightly bedtime story. My daughter love this - the colors and imagery are amazing and the rhyming story is very sweet. Only a few lines on each page holds her attention until the next! I have since purchased many copies to give as gifts for showers and "welcome baby" presents - paired with soft swaddles or PJ's it's PERFECT.. my only advice - DONT buy the board book, its very tiny cheap looking compared to the hardcover.

The text in this book is simple and sweet and just the right length for bedtime (nothing like those epic-length picture books that require you to discretely turn multiple pages to get your little to bed at a decent hour). But what is really wonderful is the artwork. Beautiful animal paintings that makes me excited to read this with my son each night. I wish I could get art prints of some of the pictures for his bedroom.Note: I purchased the Board book – September 1, 1997 version and was a little surprised with the small size (about 5 inches square). My fault for not reading the product details, which were accurate, but just keep in mind that the editions vary in size. I prefer a version a friend had that was larger, did a little more justice to the beautiful illustrations.

I am trying to establish a bedtime routine for my 4 month old. I want him to have bedtime cues to help him get to sleep better. Bedtime stories are the last part of my routine. I looked for some great bedtime books to add to the rotation. This was one of Amazon's "Customers who bought this item also bought" recommendations. I couldn't beat the price (less than $4) and it looked cute.So I have my louder, funny book The Going-To-Bed Book that I read first. This is the quiet one and the last one I read right before putting him in his crib. The book is really cute, my 9 year old daughter snuggles up to us and enjoys the book also. I love the rhymes and the flow of the book, it's easy to read in a quiet, calming voice. It is fun to read and there's just the right amount of words to picture ratio for very little ones. The pictures aren't anything super spectacular, but they are decent. They aren't very bright, so I think it helps calm him down (although at this point everything is speculation). At 28 pages it's a good size board book. I am very happy with my purchase and plan on buying it for some upcoming baby showers.

This book is fantastic! If I could give 10 stars I would! The text is short and sweet and the illustrations are magical. My daughter loves all the animals with their babies. I did return this though bc the book was much smaller than I realized. Target had a larger board book option that really seemed to make the illustrations come alive.. so I purchased that version instead. But I highly recommend this book!

a sweet book. the spanish doesn't exactly follow the english, but it's still cute. we have the full book (just english) and this board-book version seemed to cut off part of the pictures. it's fine, but the full size book's illustrations are so gorgeous that it's a shame they weren't fully included.

This is a beautiful book. Great rhythimic writing and gorgeous watercolor illustrations. Many pages of storyline, and introduces baby to lots of different anymals. However, my 8 month old doesn't seem to care. Since she doesn't understand the story line and only listens to my voice when I read to her and looks at the pictures, she is not very entertained by this book because she doesn't find the the colors very eye catching, entertaining, or attrative. She loves bright bold colors and pictures of babies. So we are reading the line from Karen Katz "Daddy Hugs", "Mommy Hugs", and "Counting Kisses" which I highly recommend by the way.I'm not going to give up on this book because I really think it's just loverly. So I'm still keeping this. I know she will grow and will love it when she gets older. She is already starting to take intrest in our pet dog and our pet fish. So I know she will love animals and will love all the animals in this little wonderful book.

The book contains numerous inaccuracies in describing the development of certain drugs. Moreover, it contains false, and at best, biased information about pharmaceutical companies. Yet another attempt to bash "Big Pharma" without truly understanding what they do.

A clearly and concisely written book, aimed at the lay reader, this is a great introduction to a fascinating and constantly evolving topic. In this volume Hager has deliberately chosen to look at drugs, or in some cases families of related drugs, that have changed the world of medicine, usually for the better, but also occasionally to the detriment of society. Among the drugs discussed are some expected molecules such as morphine and the development of antibiotic treatment, as well as the history of vaccination, the development of the contraceptive pill , the discovery of antipsychotics that fundamentally changed the treatment of those with mental illnesses previously deemed incurable , and even modern biotechnology based treatments for autoimmune disorders. The history behind these discoveries , be they serendipitous or due to scrupulous and painstaking research, makes for truly interesting reading , as does the discussion of their social impact. The author also scrutinised the financial ties between the medical and pharmaceutical industries, and made some very valid points about how this has shaped medical practice, not always for the best. I would recommended this book as the perfect introduction for anyone interested in the topic. I read and reviewed an ARC courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher, all opinions are my own.

I had read “Alchemy of Air” by Thomas Hager and so I had high expectations for “10 Drugs” and I wasn’t the least bit disappointed. The book has everything I like: clearly explained medicine and science, lots of history, and social implications of the drugs. Hager’s appraisal is honest - he thinks drugs are a good thing but that the drug companies are much less so. Hager is a great writer, and as with some of the drugs in the book, his writing is addictive. The book was hard to put down. I strongly recommend this book for anyone interested in medicine and its history.Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley for review purposes.

I am always hesitant to dive into history books because they are often tedious. BUT "Ten Drugs" was entertaining as well as informative; I was a little surprised to learn what the first antibiotic really was, and who really introduced vacation to western society. It is by no means a scholarly book; it does not dive into how pharmaceutics conduct business (except for a few paragraphs total), nor does it go into too much detail about the players involved. I would recommend this book to anyone remotely interested in how medications came about. {I got an ARC via NetGalley.com}
