This book is written for Orthodontists, but The principles apply to most any entrepreneur or small business owner. I like how things are broken down into small chunks to give you a little attainable goals to work with. It’s the kind of book that you can have on your desk throughout the year and read a little at a time while you work on making your business and your life better. I have also enjoyed the book on tape, mostly for the flashcards that came with it. Dustin is a brilliant marketer, and effective coach, and has helped me build my business in ways that I know could not have been achieved otherwise. I have all of his books, and of all of them, this is the one that is the most usable on a daily basis.

This book is a great kick in the pants to get you thinking and motivated to achieve your goals professionally and personally. I 'm usually a big fan of lonely planet's travel guides but this one was more a source of annoyance than of help. I have to say that I bought the Kindle version, which probably made things worse.We spent most of the time in Northern Thailand and the coverage for that area was extremely spotty. Yes, the guide covers the tourist magnets but when you venture just a little bit outside (and not far) there is very little information. Chiang Mai is covered well, but the way this chapter is structured makes it a major pain on a Kindle. All information is listed by geographical sections of Chiang Mai, and it was really difficult to navigate the information on the Kindle because you always only see one page. I had to endlessly scroll back and forth to see in which section I am.Another issue was that the cities, towns and points of interest were often spelled differently in the guide than they are spelled on the official street signs or popular maps (sometimes Lonely Planet uses a completely different name, that maybe is theoretically correct but is completely useless in practice when nobody else uses that name). Therefore often it was almost impossible to even find something in the guide with the search function because Kindle obviously doesn't find anything that is spelled different even by one character.Therefore - this is a clear "not recommend" for me. Worst Lonely Planet guide by far in the big collection of mine.

Extremely detailed and a must have guide. I planned my entire trip to Thailand based on this book. Hidden secrets, amazing foodie spots and getaways!I had a trip planned, when I received this book, it all changed, a ton of locations that are not talked about and are just as good!The size of the book fits into my hand (I have big hands) If the weight of the book, or the size of the book is the problem, maybe you should cut your trip down to a few days only. As a backpacker, this is a MUST HAVE.5/5 GREAT!

As others have pointed out, this book is way too big for the average tourist. It also, strangely, lacks many pictures. If you're going for under a few weeks and want to hit lots of the big sites, go with the Lonely Planet Discover Thailand (Travel Guide) instead. It'll save your back not to have to lug around the bigger book. You can then look online for more off-the-beaten-path ideas. If you're thinking of moving to Thailand, this seems a great resource.

I spent 5 weeks in Thailand in 2010 and my lonely planet guide made the difference between a good trip and a great trip! I felt like I had an insiders view into local culture. I'm planning my return trip, and it has been really cool to see the updates for places I traveled to nearly nine years ago (they also seem to be consistent with website updates for some of my most memorable adventures). This book is great for both the budget and no-expense-spared traveler as it will let you in on the local secrets!

This was a NECESSITY on my trip to Thailand. I read the entire thing over on my plane ride there and felt SUPER informed, 10x more informed than I already was from searching through thousands of search engines before my trip. There are so many recommendations of places to go and things to see. Also, many off the beaten path places to visit. I would totally recommend getting this if you are planing to visit Thailand. It will definitely come in handy, especially when you don't have cell service and need a good old fashioned book / pull out map to help you out.

Who wants to carry a guidebook that weighs as much as a phone book on their month-long trip to Thailand? Not me. Sent it back when I saw the guide's size (and weight).

This book is so helpful, especially when traveling to remote areas, like Thailand, where you may not have wifi or cell service. It has all the highlights you need. I just wish it had more color imagery to get you more excited about some of the places.

Definitely a big book, but with lots of information and maps included. Even with the internet I love traveling with a guide book!

I really do not know how these books just keep getting better, but somehow they do.The Vanishing Man is the second prequel to the Lenox series. I've been reading this series for years, and last year's The Woman in the Water was such a joy to read. This is a series that is so well-written that you truly feel like you're there in Victorian England with the characters. Going back to the beginning to see Charles as a young detective beginning to find his way was just so much fun to read. So I was very happy to hear that The Vanishing Man would be another prequel, and I loved it even more than the previous book.If you have not read any books by this author yet, I really do recommend starting with at least a few of his older books. Seeing the characters develop over time is so rewarding and makes the prequels even more enjoyable.I love all of the historical details in these books, but I think the thing I love best is the relationships that the characters have with each other. A lot of the "side characters" add humor but also warmth and humanity to this series.Really well done, Charles Finch!

This series has been very strong throughout, with no weak books until now. The Woman in the Water has some serious, noticeable continuity errors that surprised me. I would have thought Mr. Finch wouldn't leave any loose ends, but the story was up to his usual high standard. The Vanishing Man isn't. The mystery is okay, but Mr. Finch's writing style feels different, not as carefully constructed as previous books. The dialog sounded dumbed-down to me. I didn't check for continuity errors in this one, because I wasn't interested enough to spend the time. I know many people will feel this is nitpicking, but I was truly disappointed. Hope the next one is better.

The writing of the Charles Lenox books is SO great. I absolutely hate to finish them because I know how long it will be until I can immerse myself in the world of this amazing detective in London - who is smart, charming, good hearted, witty, intelligent, all the right stuff! The vocabulary and language the author uses is invigorating. I learn something new every time. The mysteries are original and layered. Loved this one. One of the very best series out there. Keep them coming!!!!

I really enjoy the Lenox series (treat yourself if you haven't read the books) and welcome these prequels that add richness and context to the characters. Charles is committed to his "profession" but still questions his choice and his abilities. He is learning from every possible source, including visits to Bedlam and possible crooks. And he sometimes gets things wrong. But his instincts are sound, his intelligence sharp and his powers of observation, acute. These, plus a good judge of character, serve him well in this case of theft, kidnapping and murder, with Shakespeare liberally applied. We also get to see more of the values that form him - his love of family (especially his quiet, touching mourning for his father), his fondness (despite himself) for Lancelot, and his abiding love for Lady Jane. The addition of background on his getting to know and admire her husband really helps in understanding their relationship. And his interactions with his client the Duke, show his love of country and politics juxtaposed with his skepticism of class and monarchy. Historical references are well-woven into the story and the story itself is interesting, with just enough twisting to keep the reader enthralled. Ans, there are moments that are laugh out loud funny like Lancelot's conversation with the Duke.This winter has been terrible. Do yourself a favor and buy this book, curl up on the sofa and immerse yourself in the world and characters Charles Finch has created.

I am already jazzing up my plain old sweatshirts and tote bags! So if you are interested in tackling an appliqué project, this book is a must-have!

I learned how to applique when I was very young, spending evening after evening with my great grandmother trying to perfect it. My first project was an applique butterfly on my very first purse. This book brings me back in the best kinds of ways. I was overjoyed to see several wonderfully classic patterns that seem timeless. There were also several interesting patterns that I hadn't seen before and that made me excited to try them out.It's been too long since I've last made anything, and this book gave me a push in the right direction.There are very helpful links to the full-size patterns so that you can print and begin right away! Very helpful.I would highly recommend this book to all fans of applique.

This applique book will be given to my friend Rosa, she wants to learn how to applique and I am showing her. Than so much for the easy beginner appliques, this will give her a great start.

This book has pretty patterns you can put on your clothes. There are lots of them to choose from so everyone should be able to find one they like. You have to go to a website to print out a copy of the pattern you want to make. I think I'm going to like making these designs.

This is a nice book of applique patterns for quilting or apparel. I found some amazing designs that I had never seen before. The instructions are written well, especially for those who are beginners with applique or just need a refresher.

Great inspiration, with links to patterns and more! They show working on different fabrics and different projects. A well rounded book!

Beginners will benefit mostly. Good for ideas, simple patterns with easy to follow instructions, and many clever sayings. Very usefull.

Contains great instructions and patterns for applique. I bought this book for my wife because she likes to quilt. She fell in love with the book, and told me to write a review. Good book all around and I highly recommend it.

I really like how Owen takes stories from his own experience and uses this to demonstrate points within the book.This is a must read for all new pilots and for those who may need to brush up on their knowledge.

A few of the author's advices on how to be a better pilot are know via common sense and training but nevertheless he does give out some nice pointers that, in my experience, will only help me be an all around good pilot, and for the price I think it is totally worth it. Its good for a nice read whilst riding the bus.

Owen's chapters are full of time tested lessons applicable to all manner of pilots and airplanes. I've got more than a few thousand hours and I considered this a great refresher on the basics. He is correct we never have the perfect flight but the fun comes from getting close and always learning along the way. A great read, and great refresher. Well done.

Another great read for the aspiring or experienced pilot from Owen Zupp. His broad depth of experience flying GA, commercial and as an instructor has obviously given him plenty of material to draw upon for his books.

As usual Owen hits the nail on the head. He's got a real gift for putting you in the pilots seat. This practical guide will come in handy whether you have 10 hours or 100000 hours, indeed it's a great read for anyone with an interest in aviation. Enjoy.

As a fresh student pilot, I found the stories and advice affirming. No-nonsense, direct and clearly based on experience & wisdom, I read each chapter with interest. I'll be reading the subsequent volumes directly.

I have over 8k hours but picked up some good info here.
