I purchased this book for my Corporate Governance course, and I'm thoroughly enjoying reading it. The only reason for one less star is I feel there's a lot of information condensed into each chapter. Some of the information is repetitive, or otherwise omittable. However, seeing as knowledge is infinite, I commend the authors for including so many examples and testimonies from those either involved in fraudulent activity, or those who were responsible for both deterring/exposing fraud. None the less, it's one of my favorite courses, and the text also earns a title of favorite book read in college.

I ordered this book to use in a graduate class. It is one of my favorite books. It is informative yet to the point and easy to follow. There is not too much useless fluff.

This is a well-written and interesting book. I used it to earn continuing education hours for my CFE credential.

Not up to the level I was expecting.

Great book, I am using it as a textbook for part of a class I am teaching.

There are several editions of "Gaspard de La Nuit" out there, but the Alfred Masterwork Edition is by far the best! Contains useful historical information on the piece. Fingering suggestions that actually work and I very rarely found a need to change. Contains several subnotes that show you what the composer said about that particular measure/section and differentiates this from any notes explaining the editors suggestion. Displays several different ways to approach a section (with different fingering, hand distribution, etc) which is really helpful. Love, Love, LOVE it!

It shows all the corrections with who said was a mistake in the original printed Durand edition. And you can make your own mind about which notes are correct. But I would go with her edition. and corrections. Very obvious mistakes seen in original edition which are corrected. And if a choice is given both are printed out for you to choose. Esp with Ondine.

The late Nancy Bricard's edition of these Ravel works is masterful and informed, with very helpful fingerings. She gives footnotes for justifying numerous corrections to the (apparently) inexplicably error-laden Durand & Cie version of Ondine in particular. Highly legible edition for performance as well.

A wonderful edition which corrects some misprints in Durand and raises many useful interpretative issues.

The score is clear and easy to read, and I enjoyed all the frequent little performance notes and comments. With this edition, you're never left wondering about even the smallest of details.

My son is enjoying learning these pieces as a Freshmen in college! Challenging, but fun!

There are pages of background information on Ravel, and lots of helpful performance and musical suggestions. There are also a number of errors in previous editions that are pointed out concisely in the score. One of the most helpful additions to the music are the suggestive (and sometimes the only feasible) fingerings that are provided, which can ease the pain of learning this immensely challenging music.

Rather than concentrating on the period of WWII that relishes in combat and fighting, this story focuses on the before (1931-36) and after (1946-59).The setting for this novel centers on Hitler's rise to power in Germany and the affect of his reign after the war in London, Vienna, and Paris--the concentration being on the sociology therein. The romantic storyline of the main characters (Hanna and Max) revolves around Hitlers rise to Chancellor, followed by Germany leaving the League of Nations, the greater imposition of new anti-Semitic laws, then Hitler becoming fuhrer, and so-on etc...while showing the effects of this on their relationship since Hanna is a Jew and Max is not. Likewise when she wakes up ten years later, the plot continues to reveal the effects on the economy, social anthropology, and the new negative connotation of being a German in different parts of Europe.Lots of romance. The mystery starts at very beginning of prologue and pulls you in immediately. Do not skip the prologue!I was caught off guard when a hint of science fiction was embedded within the story. At first I was skeptical of it, but in the end very appreciative. Dont let it stop you from finishing the story.Perk---The top of the left sided pages remind readers of POV (Hanna or Max) and the year. I included a picture.

Jillian Cantor is an insta-buy for me. This book does not disappoint. I could not put it down. If you love historical romances this book is perfect for you.

This book had myself GLUED to the pages and kinda mad at real-life when I had to step away from the book but it was totally worth losing sleep over to get to that heart-stopping ending that I'm still thinking about right now!Told from different viewpoints and in different years; you won't be getting confused, trust me! In 1931, we get Max's side of the story of being a bookshop owner during the start of a difficult time in Germany. Then, you get whisked to 1946 to Hanna's side of the story and it's there that we learn that Hanna has lost memories of the last ten years of her life. As Max & Hanna met by chance, problems start emerging from Hanna being Jewish and wanting to be a concert violinist during a time that Jews are getting their rights stripped from them. Then, you add in the simple fact that Max is not Jewish but hiding a secret of his own that will shape the future for both Hanna & Max.I don't want to spoil too much of this story but I will say that once Hanna finally remembers what happened during those ten years of lost memories, you will have a tear in your eye for what happened. Also, this book will not a happy ending kind of book but for what this story is; it's the perfect ending for these two souls who only wanted to be with each during a time that was forbidden.I do have to say that my only problem was that I didn't get into Hanna's story until the very end but I did like Max's side of the story. I don't know if how it was written or what but Hanna came off to me as being someone that was never happy no matter what she was doing until Max was in the picture. Overall, it was still a good read and it's a book that I would gladly re-read over again!Thank You to Jillian Cantor for this very good book that will get anyone to thinking and it made me want to read more books by you!!I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from Get Red PR!

It did take a lot to get her attention, but once he did, he couldn't stay away.We travel back and forth in time and learn of Hanna’s passion for music, her violin, and Max.IN ANOTHER TIME tells the story of Max and Hanna before and after the war. Hanna is the main focus after the war because something happened to her that caused her to lose the memory of ten years, but not the memory of Max and her marvelous talent of playing the violin.Max isn’t mentioned after the war except in Hanna’s memories. It is heartbreaking.We see Max before the war and more interestingly we are introduced to the mystery of what could be behind the door in the bookshop that Max’s father had always forbidden him to enter.The love between Max and Hanna was the main focus as well as the love of books and music. You will keep hoping Hanna and Max find each other.IN ANOTHER TIME is beautifully and smoothly written with characters you will want to know better.Ms. Cantor immediately pulls you into the story line and into the lives of the characters with her marvelous tale and her well-researched story line.Readers will get a glimpse into a personal side of WWII.IN ANOTHER TIME is a beautiful, beautiful tale of love, heartbreak, and an outstanding history lesson. 5/5This book was given to me as ARC by the publisher via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

What a darling, darling book! I bought it as a gift for a little boy I am sponsoring in Columbia. I was looking for a bilingual Spanish/English book and was thrilled to find a section of bilingual books on Amazon!

I ordered this for my 5 year old because she was asking for more books in Spanish. I can't read Spanish but the story is also in English. Nobody really cares if I can read in Spanish though. What does matter is that Curious George is awesome as usual.

Just finding popular titles for kids that are bilingual is great. The kids are always willing to listen if it Curious George, even if they don't totally understand. The reason I can't give then 5 stars is that they could use a translation that is more generic. Some of the words they use are not the most common or understandable. Mexican Spanish tends to have those types of words, they use different ones and though grammatically correct it makes it a bit harder to reinforce the Spanish as I use different words when I speak to them. After reading them once I now just change the words to match the ones I normally use. They could have done a slightly better job, however, it is a great great book and I am glad they are doing more.

Really cute story and bilingual. But I don't like how cheaply they're making these--book and paper quality on most of the Amazon children's books is really surprisingly bad.

A line is written in English, then in Spanish. I use them in my work in a shelter - the child reads to the parent in Spanish, then the parent reads the line in English. Fun while learning, and who doesn’t love the Curious George books?

This is a gift for my 4 year old granddaughter that is bilingual . I am sure she will love it.

This as a gift for my grandchildren, who are learning Spanish in school.
