I only bought this to see why it had so many 5 star reviews. The blurb offers nothing about the story, so I entered with no information about this "world". There are no explanations as to what is going on in this place. I have no idea if they're humans or some weird species of humanoids that freaking knot up inside a woman when they're having sex like a dog. If you read the sample, it's a brutal rape, and that's basically what continues throughout the story. The story itself doesn't exist. There's no plot whatsoever, just disgusting rape. You might have some hope the "hero" I don't even know what he would be, is getting feelings for her, but since there's no plot, no ending—it just stops. I have no idea what could even happen. I'm all for darkness and alphas, but this is just gross. IF there was a story there, any type of closure, I would say it has potential, but I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out if they're werewolves or something. And reverse harem is a joke. This is just gang-rape and sharing a wh*re amongst awful men. If that's your thing, and you don't mind buying two books to see if there's an actual story, not just constant weird sex, buy it. If you're an actual woman who doesn't enjoy reading someone getting repeatedly assaulted, then pass.
This book seems to have reviews all over the place, but it seems the readers who rate the book lower are more offended by the story rather than by the story itself. If you don't like the subject matter, you should probably keep looking for one that you will enjoy more.I thought the author did a good job with this story and I really liked all of the characters. I thought the story typical of the genre. If you haven't read a book that features the shifter pack lifestyle, there is a hierarchy within where alphas, betas and omegas know their place. (Familiarize yourself with the Latin terms if you don't know them already. It will help you understand the dynamic.)This is a fun reverse harem shifter that will get you purring. I received an advance reader copy of this book through Hidden Gems in exchange for my honest review.

While crying at the same time. It is a must read, however it is not for the faint of heart. This is a must read, in that it does not disappoint.
I just couldn't put the book down until I read the last words. Jax or little mouse is changing Caspian and he's fighting it hard. But I love Caspian and all of them want Jax so I want to know who will claim her and how will she come out at the end? I can't wait until book 2.
Yes, this book is crazy hot and will make you feel dirty reading it in all the best ways. But like her other Omega universe books, this story has a real honesty and relevance that many similar stories lack. You have to read deeper. Forced subjugation, thrown in social classes, the poor ignored...there's so much here that will remind you of the current climate, or what could easily happen soon. This reminded me so much of Handmaid's Tale, but only the way it hints at real issues. This world we live in could easily turn into a scary place with none of the entertainment value Cain gives here.
